Ru-Mix: I'm Not Your Toy
Download: http://www.mediafire.com/?jmnwjy5md4z

By the cover you can tell this mix was meant to come out in late June but life got in the way. Oh well. Here's a really fun house mix that will still get you groovin' through the summer!
Although my music tastes tend to fall on the pop / house side I do enjoy my fair share of hip-hop. It must come from Hema & Aarti, my best friends in college who definitely enjoy their "dirty south" music. Anyway, this mix here is definitely rooted in hip-hop & r&b. The tracklist is below, in the past the hip hop ru-mixes have been appreciated (RMV19 and RMV13) so I hope you enjoy this one as well.
This is a special mix I made for Patrick Sandora's blog. Pat is a friend of mine that asked me to guest blog as part of his Summer Friday Series. Naturally I had to make a mix to go along with my exposition on disco music. Click here to check out my post, and at the bottom you'll find a link to the mix I made. Now this mix is a little different from others at it is a seamless track, about 45 minutes long, and also is supposed to be an "introduction" to the Ru-Mix for those that haven't heard them before (hence some repeat tracks). The tracklist is below.
This mix is more low key, definitely emotion filled, nice for a rainy day or on your way home from a night out on the town. The songs are pop-tastic but still manage to tug at the heartstrings. Enjoy. :)
This is another house mix but it has a different type of energy than "In For the Kill," it's a little more... melancholy? At least at first, it is. There's definitely a story here if you listen in order, and it also features my favorite new artist, Fred Falke and his amazing remixes.

01. Love Don't Dance Here Anymore - Tiga - This song is just epic, the piano introducion is brilliant but when the beats come in you can just picture yourself pouring your heart out on the dancefloor
02. Heavy Cross (Fred Falke Mix) - The Gossip - The original single is just ok, but Fred Falke brings this to another level
03. Wrong (Rauhofer Mix) - Depeche Mode - Peter Rauhofer turns it out. WORK.
04. Black and Gold (Steve Pitron and Max Sanna Mix) - Sam Sparro - An oldie but the best remix I've heard of this song about searching for spirituality
05. Hearbreaker - MSTRKRFT feat. John Legend - MSTRKRFT's remix of Greenlight was one of my favorites last year, it's good to see them collaborating again
06. Halo (New Devices Mix) - Beyonce - Halo didn't get as big as I thought it would (Leona should have held on to it!) but I would love to dance to this mix some day.
07. If This Isn't Love (Stonebridge Mix) - Jennifer Hudson - Just a very sweet song
08. Love Etc. (Gui Boratto Mix) - Pet Shop Boys - One of my favorite songs of this year, very inspiring.
09. Eh, Eh (Pet Shop Boys Mix) - Lady Gaga - PSB + Gaga, a match made in heaven
10. Anthonio (Fred Falke Mix) - Annie - A completely different mix from the Designer Drugs one, Fred Falke highlights Annie's desperation
11. Miles Away (Rauhofer Part 3 Mix) - Madonna - Rauhofer will always know how to WORK Madonna
12. Come Back to me (Quentin Harris Mix) - Utada - A cute complementary song to Miles Away
13. Zero (N.A.S.A. Bloody Lobo Mix) - Yeah Yeah Yeahs - This song is quickly getting very overplayed but this remix is refreshing
14. New In Town (Fred Falke Mix) - Little Boots - Fred Falke, 'nuff said.
15. Solid Gold - Golden Filter - "...Make it Solid Gold," and they did.
16. I'm Not Alone (Deadmau5 Mix) - Calvin Harris - I really hope this song gets big... it's too amazing to be ignored.
The Ru-Mix is brought back to its roots with this eclectic mix of pop, alternative, hip-hop and r'n'b - all the stuff that made you enjoy the Ru-Mix in the first place. Below are the newest tracks from artists we love and those that we have yet to discover. This is a great spring mix that has something for everyone. Again, listen to it in order, from beginning to end - you may be surprised as to what you'll discover. Enjoy!
Here's a great mix of some old Ru-Mix favorites re-imagined by today's up and coming artists. Some of them have made some really interesting choices. Enjoy!
Hey all.. here's a special V-Day mix for everyone. It's kind of cheesy, I'm almost embarrassed to send it out but I know you can cheese out sometimes too - especially on holiday like this one.
First of all, sorry all of the Ru-Mixes are coming out of order... the truth is I made the covers before the mixes were ready. Also, wanted to apologize for sending so much out so quickly - When I took the break I was still making my mixes for myself and I still want to share - want to make sure I send it out before it gets (too) stale.
Music that I like.
